Close to Ninety Air Travels Associated to Epstein Reportedly Came to or from UK Airfields
A review has identified that approximately 90 aircraft journeys linked to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly arrived at and departed from British airports, with some allegedly transporting women from the UK who claim they were exploited by the found guilty sex offender.
Aviation Records Uncover Trail of Travel
The flight logs were among a trove of court documents and papers released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been released over the previous twelve months. The review identified 87 aircraft movements connected to Epstein – featuring many that were hitherto undisclosed – arriving or departing from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and Post-Conviction Flights
Unnamed female passengers were documented among the individuals entering and exiting the UK. Notably, 15 of these British airport journeys occurred subsequent to Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for procuring prostitution from a child.
“It was ‘appalling’ that there had never been a ‘full-scale UK investigation’ into his operations in the country,” said American attorneys representing hundreds of Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
Evidence from one of the UK-based survivors helped convict Epstein’s associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. But, that survivor has never been contacted by police in the UK, as stated by her attorney based in Florida.
In a statement, the London's Metropolitan Police stated they had “not received any further information that would support restarting the probe.” They commented, “Should new and relevant evidence be brought to our attention, encompassing any resulting from the disclosure of material in the US, we will review it.”
Continuing Disclosure and Judicial Decisions
A bill to disclose all files held by the American government in concerning Epstein passed the House and Senate last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. A vast number of documents are projected to be made public.
Separately, a US judge ruled last week that the department could publicly release investigative materials from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime confidante, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence over the charges.
