Indianapolis Colts Battle Atlanta Falcons in Berlin – Week 10 NFL Action

Hello, fussball fans. How are you? Alles klar I hope on this fine morning kickoff to the tenth week coming straight outta Germany. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be precise where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the mighty Indianapolis Colts (7-2) take on the Atlanta Falcons (3-5). This marks the fifth matchup played on soil in Germany and the initial in the capital city.

Pregame Key Moments

When it comes to glittering attire that is an absolute belter from Katarina Witt on the opening flip. A minor slip from Sky Sports there as we hear “who won the toss?” from the commentator with an accidentally live microphone.

So, the Colts have won the toss and have elected to receive. The Colts' offense will be taking the field soon. Can the quarterback recover after a rough one in Pittsburgh?

Not to be outdone the singer belting out the US national anthem has some of the biggest shoulder embellishments you are bound to notice. Loving the sartorial choices today. We are almost underway after a choral number for the national anthem of Germany. Elegant.

First Quarter Action

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

And we're off! And we have an exciting start after the Colts running back receives a short throw, gains 15 yards on the outside to the right then fumbles … only for his center to save his bacon with the ball retrieval. Indianapolis quickly moves into Atlanta's half.

Colts 0-0 Falcons 10:51, 1st quarter

And the drama keeps coming as the Colts go for it on 4th down. The risk doesn't work out as the wide receiver cannot reel in a fastball from the quarterback. On the play before the turnover on downs Jessie Bates put a massive tackle on the Colts' tight end. The Falcons have come out fighting on defense as they try and snap their three-game losing streak. Next up Sauce Garner’s debut!

Touchdown Recap

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-0 Falcons 8:36, 1st quarter

Did Kyle Pitts just drop a touchdown? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was wide open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That play rather sums up the first round pick’s career to date.

So far, so disappointing but it only gets worse for the Atlanta as they cough the ball back to the Indianapolis on the 23-yard line. The Falcons quarterback is sacked and can’t keep hold of the ball.

A nifty 22-yard run from the Colts receiver sets the running back up to roll in for the score on the following play. Kicker Michael Badgley skews the extra point wide. Mistake.

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-7 Falcons 6:07, 1st quarter

Penix Jr puts the fumble behind him by marching his Falcons down the field for a touchdown. Drake London makes some substantial catches to put them in the red zone then the defense opens up for Tyler Allgeier to saunter on to the goal line through the middle of the defense for a 13-yard gain. He completes the drive for a one-yard touchdown of his own. The Falcons take the lead.

And for afters, the jumbo package starting at 12pm CST/1pm EST/6pm GMT (with home teams first) is as follows:
