The Opening Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform as a new development. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox still intends to draw people in with compelling titles on its premier subscription.

The Immediate Additions

The duo of games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription in the first place. However, this batch of games are rock solid. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — transforming them into ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
